A non-native speaker said that 'we cannot bring our riches to our grave.' Does it sound natural in English? I think it is more correct to use 'take' in that sentence. Even so, I don't think it would sound idiomatic.
Also the verse (1 Timothy 6:7) from St. Paul that is quoted in the Anglican burial service: "For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out."
