Thank you for this comment! Sometimes we carry out changes and in this case the German sense was not correct and of course the source sentence now does not match the English translation. The change was carried out already but still needs to be updated. So what you see on the website is different from what I see in my editor. But we make sure that we carry out an update as soon as possible. The correct translation is: "Die Wehr verteidigte die Stadt." Thanks!
