    "Weirdly" is "correct," but using "weird" in that kind of context is very common in spoken English, at least in the US.

    Thanks.:) The article rightly highlights some exceptions, for example the difference in meaning between 'great' and 'greatly'. I wasn't referring to these...anomalies when I said what I said above.
