Welcome atmosphere or Welcoming atmosphere?

The hotel's website promises a welcome atmosphere.
The hotel's website promises a welcoming atmosphere.

Which of these two is correct? I understand that both these sentences are grammatically correct however I'm not sure about their usage.

    I think it is "welcoming", if, of course, you are talking about the atmosphere of hospitality.
    "Welcome" as an adjective would mean sometfhing that is accepted with pleasure, like "a welcome gift", "a welcome proposition".
