What is post-fact?

I got two from Free Dictionary (WRF has no entry for it):

Post´fact`

a. 1. Relating to a fact that occurs after another.
n. 1. A fact that occurs after another.

Both appear to be not so suitable here.

For example, Hillary won popular vote, which tortured Trump, so he lied that millions of voters illegally voted for Hillary to give her the victory. That is, here Trump created a "fact", a postfact after the fact that Hillary won.

In this case, "post-fact" seems to refer to a "fact" Trump creates to make himself "win."

Well, I am not so clear.

Thanks in advance

President-elect has shown that he can dictate the direction of news coverage with a single wacky tweet

This year, we entered a brave new world of bullshit. It goes beyond the fake news we've heard so much about lately – though that's a central component of our new post-truth environment. It has a conservative bias.

Post-truth differs from traditional contesting and falsifying of truth by rendering it of "secondary" importance. While this has been described as a contemporary problem, there is a possibility that it has long been a part of political life, but was less notable before the advent of the internet.[...

It is very clear now. Good phrase and sad reality.

BTW, does "factual rebuttals" refer to "rebuttals that are based on facts"?

We used to have an expression, "shop [or cherry-pick] your expert", the meaning being that you look for any expert that supports your position, even if that expert is a charlatan.

A similar idea that has been around for years.
