Voglio sapere come a tradurre questa frase.. "What does <NAME> do", nel mio libro ho visto questo e fa mi confonde..... "Che fa il padre di Carlo".. ed io ho tradotto come "What does/makes Carlo's dad", ma poi ho pensato che fosse qualcosa altro, forse "What does Carlo's dad do?".

Ho capito che la parola ingelse "do" (come una parola domanda) non esiste in italiano allora forse tradurrei "Che fa il padre di Carlo?" come "What does Carlo's dad do?", è tutto questo giusto?

Molto grazie.

    esattamente..
What does Carlo's dad do? = Cosa fa il padre di Carlo? oppure: che lavoro fa il padre di Carlo?

Am I right to understand I made no mistakes in my Italian question?!!?
    WOW.
Read Paul's reply again. He corrected a couple of things (Voglio sapere come a tradurre, for example). And I would add that you misspelled inglese, but I know that was only a typo.

Spiacente, I didn't see! I'm so used to Elaine and Jana's big massive bold colours when they correct things, I thought it was just a quote, I didn't see the strikeouts, still, not that much wrong though!
Just saw your correction LSP, and I couldn't even see that the "a" had a strikeout, I had to highlight it to see [in Paul's post].

I thought it was it. Strikeouts are hard to notice sometimes.
