The equipment adopts advanced technology. Is the word adopt used properly? or is use better than adopt in this sentence? thanks a lot

    The word "adopt" usually means "did not use before, and changed, and now is using". That is why it does not fit your example sentence, and post #2 suggests you use other verbs.

    Literally "adopt" means when parents take an orphan, and make the orphan their child.
