What word can be used for a person who praises himself a lot or talks a lot about him.
conceited, vain, narcissistic, egotistical, egocentric, (an) egomaniac, self-centered, self-absorbed...
Self-aggrandizing. I think if you go out of the way to praise yourself, then "self-aggrandizing" would be my first choice of words.
It is not quite the same thing as narcissistic, egotistical, etc.
"Ah, le mot juste!" (the right word)
I have some misgivings about the hyphen however. I'm not certain that it is required.
Compound words starting with "self" usually do carry the hyphen.
I did a Google search and it appears that my original instincts were correct. The hyphen remains.
narcissistic is a person who constantly assess his appearance, desires, feelings, and abilities. "e.g I am a rich person and I wear 2000$ shirt."
I wanted to add the noun "braggart" to the list. It's simple and harsh, which I consider an advantage when describing somebody who's always boasting.
Another example of "why didn't I think of that?"
self-aggrandizer, love it
Separate names with a comma.
