Whatever bears affinity to cunning is despicable.

"There is a meanness in all the arts which ladies sometimes condescend to employ for captivation.Whatever bears affinity to cunning is despicable."
This is from chap.8 of Pride and Prejudice. I need a paraphrase of the bold line which I can hardly understand. Please help. Thanks!

Cunning is a noun in that sentence, meaning deceitfulness/trickery. The meaning is that anything related to cunning should be despised.
