I'm trying to translate a reggae song and I found the word "fi" several times.

- "Life dem take fi dem steak and hamburger"
- "True humbleness we have fi live simple"
- "I n I the roots mi food me nah fi shoot"
- "Natural herbs have fi we dinner"

Thanks

It would be helpful if these lyrics were correct. Some of the "fi" in the examples given are not "fi" at all in reality.

By the way, fi never means "if I".
