From sitcom Friends 1x4:
Monica: Hey, Joey, what would you do if you were omnipotent?
Joey: Probably kill myself!
Monica: ..Excuse me?
Joey: Hey, if Little Joey's dead, then I got no reason to live!
It seems Joey has misheard (or maybe misunderstood) the word 'omnipotent'.
I googled the 'omnipotent' and found that it may be understood as 'omni-potent', but I still can't get the trick. Could you enlighten me a little?
Thanks.

Joey is misinterpreting "omnipotent" as "impotent": "Little Joey" is presumably a reference to his penis;)

The humour is generated, not just by the character's misunderstanding of the word, but also on the huge discrepancy between what it actually means (all-powerful) and what he thinks it means (sexually impotent). Also, by the irony of his response : he would kill himself - which is obviously the last chance he would get to exercise any power at all.
