We friend were talking about a football match. Actulaay we were criticizing it.
My friend said: What was that cunning laugh on his face when he shot that free kick seconds before final whistle? And seriously, where did it go?
Which one is right, where did it go/ where it went?
I think where it went is better in this context and AND is also there at the start of a sentence?

"Where did it go?" is the correct way to ask the question.

You would use "where it went" in a sentence such as "He asked me where it went."

When I ask someone about someone then, Should I use where he went?
    Example:
Could you please tell me where he went?

"Could you please tell me where he went?" is correct.

We use the "did…go" word order in a direct question: "Where did he go?" "Why did he go there?" and so forth.
