    Yes, I think 'I do' probably occurs more often in American contexts. In ceremonies derived from the Anglican one, the bride and groom actually say 'I will'.

    Vicar: Will you take this man/woman to be your husband/wife ...?
    Bride/Groom: I will.

    But people still generally say 'I do' to mean 'get married'.
