Hi wordreference people!

"Wherever there is exchange, YYY is present"

Is correct the use of wherever in this sentence? Or should I write "wherever exchange is present, YYY is there"?

Which one is the best?

Can you give background to this? Exchange of what? What are examples of YYY? If this is a scientific or academic question, "present" suggests itself as more suitable to me, but really, without background, I can't even tell if the key words are being used appropriately.
