while actually at the venue

Hello, I am translating this paragraph from Survival Strategies for People on the Autism Spectrum, by Marc Fleisher and I have the followinf doubt:

Remember that no one is perfect, and the audience will not expect you to be. Just getting through the first few experiences is an achievement in itself, as it proves to you that you can do it. As you become more confident, however, you will wish to learn the tricks of the trade on improving presentations and first impressions while actually at the venue.

My doubt is the meaning of that sentence, does it mean "while you still in the place"?

Thank you.
