Dear forum members,

I am writing a technical paper, about time-frequency atoms (a type of mathematical function), and I have a doubt about which option would be better in the following sentence:

"A time-frequency atom is a function whose energy is well concentrated around a point of the time-frequency plane".

"A time-frequency atom is a function the energy of which is well concentrated around a point of the time-frequency plane".

Thank you very much in advance!
