Will it be rouge or noir ?
What does that mean?
What does that mean?
Thanks. I guess I understand itThe previous line provides the necessary context where it says "The roulette has already started to spin." A roulette wheel is marked off into 36 numbered spaces. Eighteen of them are red. (Rouge, in French. French terms are traditionally used in roulette.) The other 18 are black (noir). Players can bet, among other things, that the ball will land on a red space or a black space. If they are correct, they get twice their money back; if they are wrong, they lose their money. There are usually also one or two green spaces, numbered 0 (and 00 if there are two). These provide an advantage to the operator of the roulette wheel, since bets on both red and black are lost when the ball lands in a green space. Players can bet on zero, and will win if the ball lands there, but all other bets lose in that case.
