Hello there,
Would you please tell me if it's the correct proposition that is used here? Would of be a better (or a worse) choice?

The Altai mountains with summits at four kilometers, and the Tianshan range and the Palmyra mountains with elevations at seven kilometers act as physical walls separating the Russian and Chinese spheres of influence.

"Over" would be better. With "at", it sounds like there are several mountains in the Altai range that are exactly 4000m tall.
