Hi,

Does this sentence sound right?:

He is good in word rhyming, sound blending, and whole word segmenting.

Thanks.

The changes I would make is to say that he is good "at" these skills. You're good at baseball, you're good at music, etc. I would also hyphenate word-rhyming, sound-blending and whole-word-segmenting.

Thank you, Dimcl. One more thing: So the new version should be: He is good at word-rhyming, sound-blending and whole-word-segmenting. Can I write it as words-rhyming, sounds-blending instead?

I must say Nick I wouldn't put it like this. I assume these are skills needed for writing verse:

He's good at finding a rhyme, at handling assonance, and....

I'm unable to continue because I've no idea what whole word segmenting is.

I worry about all those hyphens. They make the language look more like German than English.
