work one's ass off
[Topic example added to post. DonnyB - moderator]

Is it really a rude expression to talk with people I know in daily life ?

Idioms using the word "ass" are classed by Lexico (Oxford Dictionaries) as vulgar slang but, as with a lot of things like this, it depends on who the 'people you know' are.

Most people I know wouldn't be offended by it, but the use of slang by non-native speakers is a very tricky area and it's perilously easy to either sound ridiculous and/or to cause unintentional offence.

Oh, and welcome to the forum, by the way! :)
