Good morning, greetings from Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo!

How can someone distinguishibly use these two words?:

Wrinkle.
Crumple.

My shirt is wrinkled/crumpled.
You crumpled/wrinkled her worksheet.

I looked them both up in an English-Spanish dictionary and they both rendered the same Spanish meaning "arrugar".

Thanks in advance.

Crumpled is much more drastic. If you take a piece of paper and make it into a ball, it will be crumpled. If you then flatten it out it will still be wrinkled.
