I was wondering if using the wrong person/conjugation in English is a sign of ignorance or lack of education. I am not sure that's what it's expressing, could be an accent, an accepted way of speech somewhere. But I've been working on some Sweeney Todd songs and constructions like "Times is hard" or "Pussycats is quick" called my attention and I was wondering why it was used this way. The setting clearly suggests low resources/education but I'd like confirmation on this. Thanks a lot!
