Let's say I'm saying that someone is going around spreading all sorts of rumors, including that X. But then I wanted to say, but X isn't even a secret.

Would that be:

Αυτό ούτε δεν είναι μυστικό?

Does this work too?

Ούτε δεν είναι αυτό μυστικό.

Do I need the ένα in front of μυστικό for either of the two sentences above?

I don't think the more emphatic ούτε καν (not even) is needed here. But let's see what native speakers think.

I'm not sure even "καν" is needed.

I think "μα/αλλά αυτό δεν είναι μυστικό" would express the same thing.

The "ένα" is definitely not needed. And "oύτε δεν είναι αυτό μυστικό" sounds like something made up.

The version with "καν" is very idiomatic. Of course, there can also be other ways to express it.
