Hi everyone,
I have to translate some French babytalk which has been rendered phonetically
- 'Ynagrandididonk!' - the context is a young woman who has just spotted a child and is going to take him onto her knee.
I'm trying to make sense of what this would be in real French - 'et il y a un grandi, dis donc'?, but at the moment nothing I try makes sense. At the moment, if I had to render it into English I would say 'Look at you, you big boy!' , but I'm unsure about this.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
