you guys - OK if I refer to a group with women?

    Hey! :)
    I know that I can use 'You guys/fellows' if I want to refer to a group of people. Is it OK to use this phrase if there are women in the group?
    Also, maybe you could suggest some alternatives?

    It depends on the age of the group, it would seem. I've noticed that girls in their teens right up until they're ladies in their mid-thirties don't appear to give it a second thought. Extend that age range any further upwards, and I think you'll start to get mixed results.

    If you aspire to having impeccable manners, then I'd avoid it altogether. (Cross-posted)
