you're the/a jock

Nancy wants Glen to help her to draw Freddy Krueger out of her dream. When she dreamt last time she managed to grab the hat from his head in her dream and wake up with the hat in bed. So she thinks it will be possible with the man himself.
NANCY: I grab the guy in my dream. You see me struggling, so you wake me up. We both come out, you whack the fucker, and we got him.
GLEN: Are you crazy? Hit him with what?
NANCY: You're the jock. You have a baseball bat or something.
A Nightmare on Elm Street, movie

You're the jock. = Why do you ask me "how"? You should know better than me, because out of the two of us, the jock is you, not me.

You're a jock. = what about the fact that you are a jock? That would help to solve the problem.

Do I correctly understand the difference? Thank you.
